Privacy Policy

Pebble ("Pebble," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by James Pursell, based in Georgia, United States.

Pebble is designed to help two people strengthen their relationship through small, meaningful daily actions. We believe the personal things you share with someone you care about should be treated with care and respect.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Pebble collects, how we use it, how it may be shared with service providers, and the choices you have regarding your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Pebble uses Sign in with Apple to create and authenticate accounts.

When you sign in, we may receive information made available by Apple that is necessary to identify and maintain your Pebble account. Depending on your Sign in with Apple choices, Apple may provide a private relay email address rather than your personal email address.

We do not require you to create a separate Pebble password.

Information You Provide to Pebble

When you use Pebble, you may create and share information with the person connected to your Pebble nest. This can include:

This information is stored so Pebble can provide its core relationship features.

Subscription Information

Pebble may offer paid subscriptions through Apple's App Store.

Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your credit card number, debit card number, or other payment card information.

We may receive information about the status of your subscription, such as whether you have an active subscription, so that Pebble can determine which features are available to you and your connected partner.

Analytics

Pebble uses PostHog to understand general app usage and improve the experience.

Our analytics implementation is designed not to send personally identifiable information to PostHog. Analytics may include non-identifying information about how features are used, app interactions, and similar usage events.

We do not use analytics data to build advertising profiles or serve targeted advertisements.

Notifications

If you choose to enable notifications, Pebble uses Apple's Push Notification Service (APNs) to deliver them.

Pebble notifications are intentionally designed not to include the text of your Pebble requests. A notification may tell you that activity has occurred, while the actual content remains inside the app.

You can disable Pebble notifications at any time through your device's iOS notification settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information collected through Pebble to:

Pebble does not currently use artificial intelligence services to process your Pebbles or other relationship content.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share your personal information with advertisers for targeted advertising.

We may provide information to service providers when necessary to operate Pebble. These providers include:

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests; protect the security or integrity of Pebble; or protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

4. Information Shared With Your Partner

Pebble is designed around a shared experience between two people.

Information you intentionally add to your shared nest may be visible to the person connected to that nest. This includes Pebble requests, their status, thank-you messages, and shared nest history.

Certain account and subscription information is intentionally kept private. For example, your partner does not need access to your payment details simply because a subscription provides access to your shared nest.

You should only connect a Pebble nest with someone you trust.

5. Data Storage and Security

Pebble uses Supabase and other service providers to operate its backend infrastructure.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no internet-based service, database, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your information while your Pebble account is active and as necessary to provide the service.

You can delete your Pebble account from within the app.

When you request account deletion, the data associated with your account is intended to be deleted immediately from Pebble's systems, subject to information that may need to be retained where required by law or temporarily maintained by infrastructure providers as part of routine backup, security, or fraud-prevention systems.

Deleting your Pebble account may also affect information associated with a shared nest because some Pebble information relates to both members of the nest.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal information, including rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain information.

Pebble also provides controls within the app for certain account information and account deletion.

We may need to verify that you are the account holder before completing certain requests.

8. Age Requirement and Children's Privacy

Pebble is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Pebble.

Pebble is not directed to children or minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.

If we learn that an individual under 18 has provided personal information through Pebble, we will take reasonable steps to delete the account and associated information.

9. International Users

Pebble is operated from Georgia, United States.

If you access Pebble from outside the United States, your information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

Privacy and data protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your country or region.

10. No Sale of Personal Information

Pebble does not sell personal information.

Pebble also does not use your Pebbles, relationship activity, or other personal content for targeted advertising.

11. Third-Party Services

Pebble relies on third-party services to provide portions of the app's functionality. Those providers may collect or process information as necessary to provide their services.

Their handling of information is also governed by their respective privacy policies.

Our use of third-party providers does not change our commitment not to sell your personal information or use your relationship content for targeted advertising.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Pebble changes or as legal requirements evolve.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the app, our website, or another appropriate method.

The "Effective Date" at the top of this policy indicates when the current version became effective.
